The Richardsons Group proudly opened The Church Bar and Restaurant at the bottom of Bridge Street, Northampton on June 15th 2005.
The Church Restaurant is now considered one of the most exceptional dining establishments in Northamptonshire and offers fabulous gastro food at outstanding value in a warm, friendly and informal environment.
St John's Church, a Grade 1 listed building, closed its doors to its congregation in 1990 and stood decaying and derelict for the majority of 15 years. At one point it even featured on the English Heritage 'Buildings At Risk' register yet, in accordance with many of their other sympathetic restoration projects in the town, the Richardsons Group lavished their attention on the site and transformed it into a unique and exquisite bar and restaurant.
The stunning interior stretches over two levels in the main restaurant, is graced by original stained-glass windows and has a contemporary feel that retains a celestial air. The design combines natural oak, rich and earthy colours and luxurious leathers to create a stylish, elegant space that manages to be simultaneously glamorous and welcoming.
Enjoy a sociable gathering with friends or pre-dinner drinks in the intimate, chic Chapel Bar, or on the Terrace during the warmer months. Both serve a broad range of imaginative wines, Champagnes, draught and bottled beers and also offer delicious and light meals.
"The Church's menu is revised regularly to reflect seasonal changes and availability of the finest ingredients. We keep the wine list fresh and original. A meal in The Church Restaurant, whether for business, lunch, a special occasion or simply for the pleasure of eating out promises always to be a memorable experience." - Jake Richardson, The Richardsons Group Managing Director
The Church Bar and Restaurant is simply one of the most stunning social venues in Northampton. Special experiences don't have to be for special occasions...
